How to Transition your Kitten to a Raw Diet A prey model raw diet is suitable for weaned kittens, 6 weeks and older.
Kittens up to 12 weeks old, should be fed 4 times a day. Kittens between 3 and 6 months old should be fed 3 times daily.
At 6 months old, twice daily.
TRANSITION IF YOUR KITTEN HAS NOT BEEN FED RAW
DAY 1 TO 10: 25% RAW
DAY 11 - 20: 50% RAW
DAY 21-30: 75% RAW
PLUS 30 DAYS: 100% RAW A kitten of 4 weeks should be fed this diet several times per day, in small quantities. By the time it is six months of age, these meals can be reduced to 2-3 times per day. When feeding kittens, it is a good idea to freeze the prepared food in ice cube trays – this reduces waste, and makes it easy to measure.
Age Meal size Meals per day
4 - 12 weeks 1 - 2 Tablespoons
3 - 6 months 3 - 5 Tablespoons
6 - 12 months 1/4 cup (65g)
